Rental Assistance Program

With 1st Southwest Bank

The La Plata County Workforce Rental Assistance Program offers low-cost, fixed-rate micro-loans of up to $5,000 to cover first month’s rent, last month’s rent and/or a security deposit for eligible La Plata County renters.

Project RUN

With Fort Lewis College

Project Rural Upskill Network (RUN) is a workforce collaboration between the La Plata Economic Development Alliance and Fort Lewis College. Funded by a three-year, $1.25 million Opportunity Now grant from the State of Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), we create micro-credentials designed in collaboration with employer partners to upskill our regional workforce.

A public-private partnership to create seed funding to support below-market housing development in La Plata County. This application round will prioritize projects ready to pursue time-limited state funding opportunities.

Trailing Spouse Initiatives

Supporting Your New Employee and Their Family

If you are an Alliance member, you may participate in the Trailing Spouse Initiative. It is designed to assist in the recruitment of positions that are otherwise difficult to fill locally. Examples may include technical, specialized, experienced, or managerial positions.
