Durango leaders discuss challenges facing the community with Senator Hickenlooper
It was a pleasure to welcome Senator John Hickenlooper to Durango Thursday, August 29th. From affordable housing to workforce development, we are grateful for the opportunity to showcase the strength of the public-private partnerships taking place in our region.
In addition to Senator Hickenlooper’s tour of workforce housing projects supported by the Alliance—Executive Director, Sarah Tober, MBA, and Project RUN Program Director, Rosalinda Hernandez Linares-Gray, joined a roundtable discussion to address our region’s workforce development needs. Sarah and Rosalinda shared the success of our partnership with Fort Lewis College in establishing Project RUN, demonstrating how tailor-made, industry-specific micro-credential courses can further build capacity for regional career development and workforce retention.
We’re excited about the progress we’re making and look forward to continuing our work to strengthen our region by leveraging the power of public-private partnerships.
