Boettcher Foundation writes: From Conversation to Action in Southwest Colorado

In a recent Colorado Changemakers article, the Boettcher Foundation highlights Project RUN’s Nonprofit Leadership Accelerator for new and emerging nonprofit leaders in Southwest Colorado.

The goal of the Nonprofit Leadership Accelerator Program is to create a nine-month leadership cohort that combines practical nonprofit management skills, leadership development, peer learning, mentorship, and regional connection. The experience is designed to build confidence, competence, and community while giving participants tools they can immediately apply within their organizations.

Project RUN received a $7,500 Catalyst grant from the Boettcher Foundation to support the Nonprofit Leadership Accelerator. This program builds on Project RUN’s impact in delivering trainings for industry, by industry. The curriculum is being developed by local experts to pair leadership development with the technical skills needed to run a nonprofit, including board governance, financial management, organizational operations, strategic planning, and resource development.

Nonprofit Leadership Accelerator will begin in February 2027 and continue monthly until November 2027. Applications will open November 1st, 2026.
