In Remembrance of Ed Morlan
Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues of Ed Morlan,
It is with great sadness that we report the peaceful passing of Ed Morlan.
Ed Morlan was the former Executive Director of Region 9 and a founding member of the SCAPE program (Southwest Colorado Accelerator Program for Entrepreneurs). SCAPE’s mission is to create more jobs by providing local entrepreneurs with mentoring, education, office space, and access to equity funding. Ed’s passion, support and enthusiasm helped to create 15 local businesses that raised over $3.7 million in the last 3 years, and created 45 jobs.
Ed modeled what it means to be in service of people. His mentorship, expertise, and leadership will live on through the good work of individuals and organizations he served.
A Celebration of Life service will be held for Ed on the 19th of November at 10:00 a.m. at the Bayfield High School Performing Arts Center (800 C.R. 501) with a potluck reception to follow at the Bayfield Senior Center (111 W South Street).
If you wish to help; bring a potluck item to the reception based on your last name (see below). After the service, everyone will gather at the Senior Center for friendship and fellowship. Volunteers will be available to help.

G — L — Fruit Salad or Veggie Tray or Meat/Cheese Tray
M– R — Some type of bread including some gluten-free options (muffins, bread, buns, etc.)
