Initiatives & Economic Incentives
Offering New Initiatives to Help You Succeed
At the La Plata County Economic Development Alliance, we’ve taken business development a step further by providing one-of-a-kind initiatives & economic incentives that are as unique as the area in which we live. Numerous local, state and federal economic incentives exist from workforce training, to job growth tax credits, to infrastructure improvements, but exclusive to our organization are new business initiatives. Some of those initiatives include a Trailing Spouse Program to assist relocating spouses with job placement. And, for those growing or starting a business, we have an advisors’ network offering “next level” tactics.
Take advantage of our regional and collaborative Growth Company Initiative that facilitates access to capital and offers peer networking with your fellow CEOS.
The state of Colorado aggressively promotes workforce training. The Alliance can help you apply those training programs and dollars through our partnerships with Fort Lewis College or Southwest Colorado Community College . Fort Lewis can provide certificate programs as well as internships, workforce opportunities, training and mentoring. SCCC offers customized workforce training which can be utilized to help your employees perfect their skills and grow into new positions with your company.
